Career decision wiki

Clear answers before a career decision.

Understand the three scores, plan a useful AI experiment, compare the free result with the Detailed Career Action Report, and know when a qualified human should take over.

AI-era skills framework combining tool use, verification and human judgement
A practical skills framework combines AI tool use with verification, domain judgement, communication and evidence of real work. This wiki grounds the career adviser without calculating or changing scores.

Understand your result

Start with tasks, not a job-title verdict

People with the same title can perform different work.

The assessment starts with an occupation, then lets the person correct the task mix before any score is calculated.

  • →A title is a starting point, not the result.
  • →Task frequency changes the assessment-level weighting.
  • →A custom task lowers confidence until it receives editorial evidence.

AI Exposure is task addressability—not job loss

Exposure describes how strongly selected task characteristics align with work current AI tools can address.

It is not a layoff probability or a forecast that a person will lose their job.

  • →High exposure can coexist with high resilience.
  • →The score does not estimate redundancy, salary or employability.
  • →Use the task rows to choose what to test or redesign.

Human Resilience shows where people remain critical

Resilience reflects judgement, human interaction, accountability, changing context, physical presence and regulatory constraint.

It does not mean a task is permanently protected from technology.

  • →Resilience is a separate positive dimension.
  • →Accountability can remain human even when drafting is automated.
  • →Context answers refine the task-level view.

AI Leverage points to useful human-plus-tool work

Leverage highlights tasks where AI may improve speed or quality while a person retains verification, judgement and responsibility.

  • →Start with one bounded workflow.
  • →Define the quality check before using a tool.
  • →Record what improved, what failed and what still required you.

Confidence is coverage quality, not certainty about the future

The confidence label reflects occupation match, selected-task coverage, editorial coverage, evidence recency and answer completeness.

It does not make the labour-market future predictable.

  • →A limited label is a reason to verify the task profile.
  • →Versions keep historic results interpretable.
  • →Confidence should never be read as a probability.

Make a career decision

Use a decision framework before recommending a product

Start with the person’s desired outcome, identify the obstacle, improve the perceived path to progress, reduce time and effort, and then recommend the smallest next step that genuinely fits.

  • →Help first; do not force an offer into every answer.
  • →Prefer a concrete next action over abstract motivation.
  • →Never invent proof, urgency, scarcity, guarantees or discounts.
  • →A recommendation must explain why it fits and what it does not provide.

Separate the decision from the fear

A career move should not be triggered by one AI score.

Clarify whether the goal is to stay and adapt, progress, change role or explore, then gather evidence through conversations and small tests.

  • →Name the decision and its deadline.
  • →List what must be true for each option to work.
  • →Run the cheapest reversible test before a high-cost change.

Choose skills you can practise and prove

Prioritise skills connected to real tasks and evidence.

A useful skill plan names the workflow, the quality standard, a practice opportunity and proof that another person can inspect.

  • →Choose one task before choosing a course.
  • →Build a small work sample or measured experiment.
  • →Ask a manager, peer or qualified adviser to review the evidence.

Use AI well

Run one bounded AI experiment

Choose a low-consequence task, define acceptable output, keep a human verification step and compare the result with the current workflow.

  • →Do not start with sensitive or regulated work.
  • →Measure quality and rework—not only speed.
  • →Stop if the tool creates unverifiable or unsafe output.

Product and trust

The free result and Founding 100 action report solve different needs

The free assessment and result provide all three scores, priority tasks, strengths and immediate actions.

The optional Detailed Career Action Report adds every task score and rationale, five prioritised skill gaps, adjacent-career prompts and a 30/60/90-day plan.

  • →Assessment and useful result: $0 for everyone.
  • →The first 100 completed assessments can create the Detailed Career Action Report for $0.
  • →One report is available per completed result; no card or subscription is required.
  • →Includes print / save PDF, an emailed link and 12 months of private access.
  • →Does not include coaching, certification, guaranteed outcomes or a job-loss prediction.

Keep career chat anonymous and low-risk

The adviser does not need a résumé, employer name, email, salary, address or private result link.

Conversations are processed for the current response and are not used to calculate assessment scores.

  • →Do not paste personal identifiers or confidential work.
  • →Do not paste private result/report links.
  • →The AI adviser cannot change deterministic scores.

Know when a chat answer is not enough

Use the product as a planning prompt.

Decisions involving clinical practice, legal duties, immigration, regulated credentials, redundancy rights or major financial consequences need qualified human advice.

  • →Do not treat chat as professional advice.
  • →Verify high-consequence decisions with an appropriate specialist.
  • →Keep accountability with the person and organisation making the decision.
